Alternative Therapies

Kyle at the Longevity Center OC in the Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Kyle did over 225 HBOT "dives". Although HBOT is an expensive treatment ($190 a treatment), we saw significant improvement in Kyle after each series of HBOT dives. If we could only afford one alternative therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen would have been our number 1 choice!

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can be beneficial for brain health because it increases oxygen levels in the brain and bloodstream,

which can help with:

  • Neuroinflammation HBOT can reduce inflammation, which can help with damage from stroke, concussion, TBI, and neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Neuroplasticity HBOT can promote neuroplasticity, which is the brain's ability to reorganize and form new neural connections. This can help with cognitive recovery after brain injury.
  • Cellular metabolism HBOT can increase cellular metabolism and energy production, which can help with brain repair.
  • Blood flow HBOT can help with areas of compromised blood flow, such as those affected by stroke or TBI.

HBOT is a noninvasive treatment where a patient breathes pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. The increased pressure allows the lungs to take in up to three times more oxygen than normal. The oxygen-rich blood is then transported to damaged tissues to help with the healing process.

Kyle receiving his second stem cell infusion in Feb. 2021

Stem Cell Infusions

Kyle received his first stem cell infusion along with Exosomes in Dec 2020. By the first week of January Kyle had gained movement back in his right hand and was able to give us a thumbs up and wave hello on command. From there he quickly gained movement in his right arm over the next few months and was able to give us a hug, shake hands, snap his fingers, etc. Kyle continued to received stem cell infusions every 2-3 months for a total of 6 infusions. After every infusion we saw a noticeable change within a week or two. Sometimes it was physical progress, other times it was mental progress (more awareness) or progress in his speech.

Photobiomodulation or LLLT

Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy is a non-thermal treatment that uses light to reduce inflammation, promote tissue repair, and relieve pain. PBM is also known as low-level light therapy (LLLT) or red-light therapy.

We used the red laser and IR laser on different areas of Kyles brain 5x per week. We also used the laser for his gut (research gut-brain connection), and any areas of infection or inflammation.
